YEREVAN. April 17 (Interfax) - United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Erika Olson, who is in charge of overseeing policy for Southern Europe and the Caucasus, has arrived in Armenia, the U.S. embassy in Yerevan said.
"The U.S. Embassy in Armenia welcomes U.S. Department of State Deputy Assistant Secretary Erika Olson to Yerevan. During her visit on April 17-18, DAS Olson will meet with Armenian government officials, including Prime Minister [Nikol] Pashinyan, and with civil society representatives," the embassy said.
Olson will discuss aspects of Armenian-U.S. cooperation and Washington's assistance with diplomatic negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan to reach a comprehensive peace agreement, it said.
