Command posts of Ukrainian army's 25th Airborne Brigade, 110th Mechanized Brigade struck in DPR - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have carried out strikes against the command posts of two Ukrainian army brigades in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and against two fuel depots in the Nikolayev region, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

"The command posts of the 25th Airborne Brigade and the 110th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were struck near the villages of Terny and Avdeyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic," Konashenkov said.

"Two depots storing fuel for Ukrainian military hardware were destroyed near the villages of Kobzartsy and Snigiryovka in the Nikolayev region," he said.

The Russian army struck a total of 98 Ukrainian artillery units at their firing positions, as well as troops and military hardware at 126 sites over the past 24 hours, he said.

Russian air defense systems shot down six Ukrainian drones over the Kharkov region and the Lugansk People's Republic over the past day, Konashenkov said.

"A total of 407 planes, 228 helicopters, 3,770 unmanned aerial vehicles, 415 air defense missile systems, 8,711 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,087 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 4,614 field artillery systems and mortars, and 9,582 special military automobiles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
