Lavrov meets with Bolivian counterpart in Caracas, says Bolivian president invited to visit Russia

CARACAS. April 19 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has reminded his Bolivian counterpart Rogelio Mayta that the Bolivian president has an invitation to visit Russia.

The two foreign ministers met at the Russian embassy in Caracas.

"Please convey the best wishes from President Putin to President Arce. Your president has an invitation to visit Russia whenever he finds such an opportunity. I understand that you are very busy with domestic affairs now, but we will gladly welcome the president when he wishes so," Lavrov said in his opening remarks.

Then he invited the Bolivian foreign minister to discuss bilateral relations and plans for the future.

Lavrov also met with Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ralph Gonsalves.
