MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported putting a stop to the actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Kharkov region in the past 24 hours.
"The actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been terminated near Sinkovka and Orlyanskoye in the Kharkov region," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
More than 120 Ukrainian troops have been killed and one tank, two armored combat vehicles, two automobiles, and one Grad multiple rocket launcher vehicle have been destroyed in the area over the past 24 hours, he said.
"In the Kupyansk sector, attack aircraft, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems of the western group of forces struck enemy units near Novoselovskoye in the Lugansk People's Republic and Kotlyarovka, Zagoruikovka, Ivanovka, and Pershotravnevoye in the Kharkov region," he said.
An ammunition depot of the 3rd Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was destroyed near Dvurechnaya, he said.
"In the Krasny Liman sector, tactical and army aircraft and artillery of the central group of forces struck Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People's Republic and Grigorovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. The enemy lost up to 75 troops and two armored combat vehicles," he said.
In the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors, tactical and army aircraft and artillery of the eastern group of forces struck Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Ugledar and Pavlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic and near Chervonoye, Malaya Tokmachka, and Kamenskoye in the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said.
"In addition, the actions of two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were terminated near Vladimirovka and Neskuchnoye of the Donetsk People's Republic," he said.
"In the past 24 hours, the enemy's losses in these areas included up to 120 Ukrainian troops, two armored combat vehicles, two automobiles, and a Msta-B howitzer," he said.
"In the Kherson sector, up to 30 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, and two automobiles, a Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in [these] strikes," Konashenkov said.
"An ammunition depot of the 126th Territorial Defense Brigade was destroyed near Zmiyevka in the Kherson region," he said.
