VILNIUS. April 19 (Interfax//BNS) - Lithuania delivered a resolute protest to Belarus on Wednesday in connection with deliberate and systematic violations of the Lithuanian state border.
The Foreign Ministry said a note had been sent to a representative of the Belarusian embassy in Lithuania, who has been summoned to the ministry.
The Lithuanian border service has recorded Belarusian border guards entering the territory of Lithuania on two occasions this week, once in the Svencionys district and also in the Salcininkai district, the report said.
In its note, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry strongly urged Minsk to comment on both incidents as soon as possible and to take measures to prevent them from occurring again.
