Russian Defense Ministry reports destruction of 38 Ukrainian drones

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed 38 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Kharkov, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions and in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Air defense assets have downed 38 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the past 24 hours over Liman Vtoroi, Dvurechnoye, and Zhovtnevoye in the Kharkov region, Krasnorechenskoye, Chervonopopovka, Rubezhnoye, and Kremennaya (LPR), Opytnoye, Makeyevka, Nikolskoye, Novobakhmutovka, Zavitne Bazhannya, and Kirillovka (DPR), Shevchenko and Ulyanovka in the Zaporozhye region, Peschanoye, Golaya Pristan, and Kairy in the Kherson region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.

Russian forces have downed a total of 3,834 Ukrainian drones, 411 planes, and 228 helicopters since the start of the special military operation, he said.
