CSTO commission for military-economic cooperation to meet in Dushanbe on April 27

MOSCOW. April 24 (Interfax) - The interstate commission for military-economic cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will meet in Dushanbe on April 27 to discuss standardization of weapons, the CSTO said on Monday.

"In particular, the participants plan to discuss the essence of further measures concerning standardization of weapons and military hardware within the CSTO framework and the development of multilateral cooperative interaction between enterprises and organizations of the defense industry (military industry) complexes of the organization's member states," it said.

The meeting will be hosted by Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, who chairs the commission. CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov will take part, it said.

The CSTO comprises Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
