Roscosmos not seeking self-isolation, expects to cooperate with Asian, African countries - CEO

MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - Roscosmos's counterparts from Asian, African, and some European countries are willing to continue cooperation, Roscosmos CEO Yury Borisov said.

"Our partners from other countries, Asian countries, African countries, and even some European ones, are willing to, want to, and will work together with us. Therefore, we're not in isolation, and we won't isolate ourselves," Borisov said at the Knowledge.First Enlightenment Marathon.

"Algeria, Myanmar, Vietnam, Egypt, and South Africa are working out various contracts with us on launching satellites, which we're developing on orders with them," he said.

Roscosmos First Deputy CEO Andrei Yelchaninov said in an interview with Interfax on April 10 that space was one of the few sectors where Russia was continuing collaboration with representatives of various countries despite the political situation. "The state corporation management's position is: space and politics don't mix," Yelchaninov said.
