CHISINAU. April 27 (Interfax) - The Moldovan government will withdraw from some CIS agreements after analyzing them, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government are analyzing the agreements signed within the CIS, after which they will make proposals on withdrawing from some," she said on Wednesday in an interview with JurnalTV, responding to a question about Moldova's possible withdrawal from the CIS.
"Hundreds of agreements have been signed. They were signed for 30 years, documents were signed every year, many of which were not needed. All these things are now being analyzed. It's a more lengthy process. Ukraine has not denounced all documents yet either. There are agreements concerning our cooperation with other countries. Simultaneously, we are signing bilateral documents with them," Sandu said.
European integration is a strategic task of Moldova, she said.
"I firmly believe that Moldova can become a member of the European Union before the end of this decade. We have full openness from the EU, everything depends on us, on citizens, on the implementation of reforms. But it's a realistic task, and I am certain it's possible," the president said.
