ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 27 (Interfax) - Daily water supply to populated localities of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) is expected to begin by July, DPR acting head Denis Pushilin said.
"On April 30, we will be able to increase water supply time from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. In June, we will start supplying water every other day. By the beginning of July, we plan to start supplying water daily," Pushilin said in a live broadcast.
The DPR has an acute shortage of drinking water due to considerable damage to the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal, which it suffered as a result of military action. Thus, the Donetsk area receives water once every three days for several hours.
