KURGAN. April 27 (Interfax) - A fire has occurred on the territory of the Kurganstalmost plant, Kurgan region Governor Vadim Shumkov said on Thursday.
"The fire is being extinguished. We are involving the staff of several plants to help fight the fires," the governor said on his Telegram channel.
Kurganstalmost did not comment on this situation to Interfax.
The main products manufactured by the enterprise are construction metal fixtures for various purpose.
Transmission towers are on fire near the enterprise, Kurgan's single dispatch service told Interfax. Fires have also been registered in the city's Utyak and Zaikovo neighborhoods.
Several large fires occurred in the Kurgan region on Thursday.
Information on dry vegetation burning in the Ketovsky municipal district reached the single dispatch service at 1:58 p.m. (11:58 a.m. Moscow time). The landscape fire later spread to the village of Logoushka. According to the latest information, 20 residential buildings and 20 non-residential buildings on an area of 6,000 square meters and dry vegetation on an area of 80 hectares are on fire there. An emergency has been imposed in the district.
Preventive evacuation of residents is being conducted near the Utyak and Zaikovo neighborhoods and the Izumrydny gardening community due to the fires.
