Putin arrives at Rudnevo industrial park to host conference on UAVs

MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived at the Rudnevo industrial park, which houses several firms specializing in developing and manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), to host a conference dealing with the development of the Russian UAV industry.

Apart from hosting the conference, Putin should also be shown the construction of an industrial area, watch presentations by organizations specializing in building unmanned aerial systems, and visit an exhibition of UAV manufacturers and operators.

As follows from the reference materials provided by the Moscow city administration, the exhibits presented at Rudnevo include advanced UAV models, such as VT-440 developed by the NPP Radar MMS scientific and production association. This is an unmanned multipurpose helicopter, which is the first in Russia to have been officially authorized to operate under the experimental legal regime in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district.

The Transport of the Future company presented the S700 vertical takeoff and landing freight drone capable of carrying up to 200 kilos for up to 30 kilometers.

Another model exhibited at Rudnevo is a T-300 vertical takeoff and landing aircraft developed by Turing Flying Machines. This drone with a carrying capacity of up to 130 kilos is designed to deliver goods between logistics centers.

The SH 450 (Aeromax) civilian unmanned helicopter is designed to deliver goods but can also be used for firefighting, search-and-rescue, monitoring, and environmental assessment operations. This drone is composed of Russian-made components, including those manufactured by the company itself, and is capable of taking off and landing on unprepared sites and operating in poor visibility and in difficult climatic conditions.

The exhibits also include drones designed for aerial photography, agricultural, and search-and-rescue operations. In addition, the presentation includes technological solutions for controlling drones in flight, identifying violators of the rules for the use of airspace, and preventing their unlawful operations.

The Rudnevo industrial park has been part of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone since March 2023.
