Arms delivered to Ukraine ending up on black market and in terrorists' hands - Shoigu

NEW DELHI. April 28 (Interfax) - Weapons supplied to Ukraine are ending up in terrorists' hands, thus affecting stability in Europe and over the world at large, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The delivered weapons is going to the black market, subsequently ending up in the hands of terrorist organizations, which poses additional risks, especially in light of the statements about deliveries of ammunition with depleted uranium cores to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Shoigu said at a meeting of the defense ministers from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries in New Delhi on Friday.

"Arms supplies to Kiev only prolong the conflict, cause further casualties and destruction of infrastructure, and, finally return like a boomerang, affecting stability in Europe and around the world," he said.

"Russia was left with no option other than to eliminate the threats coming from the territory of Ukraine by military methods. The objectives are clear, and the goals of the special military operation will be accomplished," Shoigu said.
