MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has designated the Polish non-governmental organization Kongres Deputowanych Ludowych (Congress of People's Deputies) as undesirable in Russia.
"A decision has been made to designate the activities of the foreign NGO the Congress of People's Deputies, set up in Poland in 2022, as undesirable in Russia," it said.
The organization's goals include "violently seizing power in Russia and performing the functions of legislative, judicial, and executive bodies," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
"The leaders of the Congress of People's Deputies, former Russian State Duma deputies Ilya Ponomaryov, Mark Feigin, and Gennady Gudkov, who have [all] been designated foreign agents [and] who are currently living outside Russia [...], reject the Russian Federation's territorial integrity and have made separatist statements," it said.
The office said it has notified the Russian Justice Ministry of its decision to include the relevant information in the list of foreign and international NGOs whose activities are deemed undesirable in Russia.
