MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Russian Railways (RZD) reopened the Unecha-Rassukha railroad section in the Bryansk region to traffic at 4:53 a.m. following a disruption on May 1, Moscow Railway, an RZD subsidiary, said in a statement.
"About 300 railroad workers and three repair trains helped eliminate the consequences of the incident. Some 100 meters of the rail track were laid," the company said.
According to information from Moscow Railway, Novozybkov-Moscow Train No. 202 arrived on time at 5:12 a.m. and Novozybkov-Moscow Train No. 204 is also expected to arrive at 10:24 a.m. as scheduled. Klimov-Moscow Train No. 86 will be delayed for about two hours.
Passengers from the delayed train from Klimov who are transiting Moscow will be able to receive new tickets and a document confirming the train's delay at railway stations' ticket offices without having to pay any extra fees. In addition, transit passengers will be able to use railway stations' lounges, mother-and-child rooms and lockers free of charge.
Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz said earlier that the railway track had been blown up in the Unecha district.
"An unknown explosive device went off at the 136th kilometer of the Bryansk-Unecha railroad in the Unecha district, causing a freight train's locomotive to derail," Bogomaz said on Telegram.
