MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets in the Donetsk People's Republic and the Kherson region, as well as a Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-25 attack plane in the Kherson region, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"Air defense destroyed three aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. Two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets were downed near Ulyanovka in the Donetsk People's Republic and Mirolyubovka in the Kherson region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
A Ukrainian Su-25 was downed near Veletenskoye in the Kherson region, he said.
"Eight HIMARS projectiles and two HARM anti-radiation missiles were intercepted during the day," he said.
Six Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the Lugansk People's Republic and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions during the day, Konashenkov said.
