KRASNODAR. May 3 (Interfax) - Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev has reported the deployment of almost 190 specialists and five fire trains to put out the ongoing fire on oil tank farm in the Temryuk district.
"Currently, 188 men are fighting the fire. Five fire trains are involved in the firefighting operation. I am grateful to our firefighters for their prompt and streamlined response," Kondratyev said on Telegram on Wednesday.
Head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's territorial branch Oleg Volynkin is supervising the firefighting effort at the site, he said.
This is a large fire, and it is being contained with foam, the governor said.
As reported earlier, a petroleum product tank fire in Volna has spread onto 1,200 square meters. Its causes are being established.
