Moscow bans operation of UAVs

MOSCOW. May 3 (Interfax) - The Moscow city administration has imposed a ban on the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in the city, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

"We've decided to impose a ban on the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles in the city of Moscow starting today, except for UAVs used in line with decisions by government agencies," Sobyanin said on Telegram.

The decision was made to prevent the unsanctioned use of UAVs that might obstruct the work of law enforcement agencies, he said.
