MOSCOW. May 3 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported the destruction of an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sumy region.
"An ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been destroyed near the Progress populated locality of the Sumy region," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
A U.S.-made AN/TPQ-50 weapon locating system has been destroyed near Stepnogorsk in the Zaporozhye region, he said.
"Air defense systems intercepted four rounds of HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and one U.S.-made JDAM guided air bomb in the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said.
Russian forces have also downed 16 Ukrainian drones in the Sumy, Kharkov, and Kherson regions, the Donetsk People's Republic and Lugansk People's Republic, and struck 86 Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery crews at their firing positions, as well as personnel and military hardware in 102 areas, he said.
"A total of 416 planes, 230 helicopters, 3,935 unmanned aerial vehicles, 421 air defense missile systems, 8,948 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,095 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 4,717 field artillery systems and mortars, and 9,928 special military automobiles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
