Russian Defense Ministry reports strikes on Ukrainian army units near Ugledar, Temirovka, Gulyaipole

MOSCOW. May 3 (Interfax) - Russian forces have delivered air and artillery strikes against Ukrainian Armed Forces units near Ugledar, Temirovka and Gulyaipole, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"In the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye sectors, aircraft and artillery of the eastern group of forces hit Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the vicinity of Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic, Temirovka and Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian army lost over 70 troops, two armored combat vehicles, four trucks, and a Giatsint-B howitzer in these areas over the past 24 hours, he said.

"In the Kupyansk sector, aircraft and artillery of the western group of forces hit Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the vicinity of Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People's Republic and Kamenka in the Kharkov region," Konashenkov said.

In this sector, "the enemy has lost up to 40 Ukrainian troops, two armored combat vehicles, three trucks, as well as a D-30 howitzer," he said.

"In the Krasny Liman sector, tactical and army aviation and artillery of the central group of forces hit enemy units in the vicinity of Nevskoye and Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People's Republic," the Defense Ministry spokesman said.

The Ukrainian army has lost over 50 troops, an armored combat vehicle, three pickup trucks, and two Msta-B howitzers in this sector, he said.

"Up to 40 Ukrainian troops, three trucks, a Giatsint-B howitzer and an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery unit were eliminated in the Kherson sector over the past 24 hours," Konashenkov said.
