No plans for Putin's televised address after drone attack on Kremlin - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin does not plan to make a televised address following the drone attack on the Kremlin, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"No special address is being planned," Peskov told reporters in response to the relevant question.

The presidential press service said on Wednesday that an attempt to strike the Russian president's Kremlin residence using drones was made in the early hours of Wednesday. The president was not hurt. According to the statement, the drones were incapacitated.

The Kremlin views such actions as "a premeditated terror attack and an attempt on the life of the president of the Russian Federation, shortly before Victory Day [and] the parade on May 9, which is expected to be attended by foreign guests, among others."
