MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Kurganmashzavod has shipped another batch of BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles to the Russian Defense Ministry as part of the state defense order, the Rostec press service said on Thursday.
"In the first quarter of the year, the enterprise delivered the same number of infantry fighting vehicles as over the whole of 2019," the press service said.
"Kurganmashzavod has been shipping infantry fighting vehicles almost on a monthly basis. And the scope of shipments has been growing. The plant's workforce has been increased significantly - whereas over 1,000 people were hired last year, nearly 1,200 people were hired in the first quarter of this year alone," Rostec Industrial Director Bekkhan Ozdoyev said.
