Moscow declines to comment on Washington's statement denying role in Kremlin drone attack

MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has declined to comment on United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby's remarks denying Washington's role in the recent drone attacks on the Kremlin.

Asked by Interfax on Thursday whether he had any comment on Kirby's remarks, Peskov replied, "No. We've said precisely what we wanted to."

Peskov said earlier in the day that the decision to send drones to strike the Kremlin had been made not in Kiev but in Washington.

"Indeed, the attempts being made by both Kiev and Washington to disavow this are absolutely ridiculous. We know very well that decisions on such actions and terrorist attacks are made not in Kiev, but in Washington in particular. And then Kiev does what it is told to do. We know that Kiev often doesn't even determine the targets, instead Washington determines them and then informs Kiev about them for Kiev to do the job," Peskov said.
