MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and the international agenda, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The meeting took placed on the margins of a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)'s Council of Foreign Ministers in Goa.
"The sides discussed the current state of Russian-Pakistani relations and regional and international problems, and exchanged opinions on the situation in Afghanistan," the ministry's website stated.
The pair "praised Russian-Pakistani coordination on the global stage, including within such authoritative multilateral organizations as the UN and the SCO."
The ministers have agreed to further expand contact between their ministries.
