Air defense forces down drone near Sevastopol - governor

ROSTOV-ON-DON. May 4 (Interfax) - Russia's air defense has been activated in Sevastopol, destroying one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Thursday, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said.

"Another attack on Sevastopol. At about 7 p.m., air defense forces neutralized a UAV near Belbek airport," Razvozhayev wrote on Telegram.

No facilities were damaged in the incident, the Sevastopol governor said.

Activation of air defense in Crimea and Sevastopol has been reported periodically since last August. Activation has largely been due to small UAVs.

A high ('yellow') terrorist threat level is currently in force in Crimea and Sevastopol. A medium reaction level is also in place.
