Maduro condemns attempted strike on Kremlin, expresses solidarity with Russia in phone call with Putin - Kremlin

MOSCOW. May 4 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by telephone with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Thursday at the latter's request, the Kremlin's press service stated.

"Maduro strongly condemned the attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a strike on the Kremlin's grounds using unmanned aerial vehicles, while expressing, on behalf of the people of Venezuela, feelings of solidarity with and support for Russia," the statement said.

The two leaders also discussed pressing issues regarding their future bilateral strategic partnership, including the implementation of trade, economic, energy and humanitarian projects.

It was agreed to continue exchanges at various levels, the service said.
