MOSCOW. May 5 (Interfax) - Two new nuclear submarines, one strategic and the other a multirole one, will be delivered to the Russian Navy in 2023, United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) CEO Alexei Rakhmanov said.
"The year 2023 should see the birth of and flag raising on our two flagships, alongside a strategic nuclear submarine and a multirole submarine, which has proven its capacities and potential," Rakhmanov said in an interview with Channel One.
The USC has been commissioning two nuclear submarines per year since 2020, Rakhmanov said, adding that it is also building corvettes, frigates and minesweepers, and "is not going to slow down."
