DUSHANBE. May 5 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Victory Day celebrations in Moscow during a phone call, the Tajik presidential press service said on Friday.
"The heads of state exchanged greetings. The Esteemed Vladimir Putin invited the leader of the nation to visit Moscow for events dedicated to Victory Day," it said.
The two presidents noted the progressive development of the Tajik-Russian strategic partnership in every area, it said.
In addition, Putin and Rahmon discussed the situation on the Tajik-Afghan border, the press service said.
