ISTANBUL. May 5 (Interfax) - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Friday announced plans to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of a quadripartite summit on Syria in Moscow on May 10.
"Russia confirmed this date today. [...] In the morning of May 10 we will have a general meeting and in the afternoon there will be a bilateral meeting with Lavrov," Turkish media quoted Cavusoglu as saying.
Cavusoglu said earlier this week that a meeting between the Turkish, Russian, Syrian and Iranian foreign ministers was scheduled for May 10 in Moscow.
However, Cavusoglu specified on Friday that it remained unclear as to who would represent Iran at the meeting since Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian could embark on an Africa tour together with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. In this case, another official would substitute him at the Moscow meeting.
