MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - The Kremlin views the U.S. response to the promise of Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kirill Budanov "to kill Russians" all over the world as insufficient.
Journalists reminded Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday of an earlier statement, which said that the Kremlin would be closely monitoring the West's reaction to Budanov's remark and wondered whether any reaction had presented itself.
"We have heard an answer of the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State to a respective question from a journalist. The word 'condemnation' was not uttered, but at least it was said they did not approve," Peskov said.
"Of course, this is not the wording, which, from our point of view, would match the monstrosity of what the Ukrainian representative has said, but we have taken notice of it," he said.
There has been absolutely no reaction from European capitals, Peskov added.
Budanov said in an interview in early May that Ukrainians "have been killing Russians and will keep killing Russians anywhere on the face of this world until the complete victory of Ukraine."
