MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - The Obukhov Plant in St. Petersburg will demonstrate trials of specialized vehicles, new hardware and unmanned and adaptive technologies on May 15, the press service for Almaz-Antey, whose component the plant is, said on Wednesday.
"The event will begin with a demonstration of S-400 Triumf trials in climate chambers of the Obukhov Plant's testing complex," the press service said.
It will continue with a demonstration of a prototype of Russia's E-Neva electric SUV.
"The vehicle is based on the E-Neva electric and gas-electric transport platform. It combines the efficiency of an electric car with the power and maneuverability of an SUV," the press service said.
A new civilian truck will also be presented, it said.
"The vehicle is designed for use on public roads of any categories, including off-road conditions. The truck will replace foreign manufacturers of similar equipment that have left the Russian market," the press service said.
In addition, unmanned aerial vehicles designed by plant specialists and manufactured in its workshops will be presented, it said.
The show will demonstrate new products of the plant's Research Institute of Applied Materials Science, including armored ceramics and an atomizer (a device for producing metal powder used in metal 3D printers).
The demonstration will be held for mass media ahead of the 160th anniversary of the Obukhov Plant due on May 16.
S-400 Triumf, a product of Almaz-Antey, is a long-range air defense missile system built to counter strategic and tactical aircraft, ballistic missiles, hypersonic targets and other airborne weapons.
