Moscow urges Baku, Yerevan to abstain from actions that lead to escalation of tensions - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has urged Yerevan and Baku to show self-control amid an escalation of tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Journalists asked Russian president's spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Thursday what measures Moscow was taking following another escalation of tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which had led to casualties on both sides. "Clearly, we are expecting the sides to show a restrained approach, and urge them to abstain from steps that could lead to an escalation of tensions. We will continue our contacts with both Baku and Yerevan," he said.
