Poland completes transfer of fourteen MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine

BERLIN. May 11 (Interfax) - The Polish military has completed the process of transferring 14 MiG-29 fighters to Kiev, the Permanent Representation of Poland to the European Union said on Twitter.

"Poland has sent as many as 14 MiG-29 fighters," the representation said.

The post also says Ukraine has received 575 tanks from various countries, of which 325 were provided by Poland. Many of the tanks were also provided by the Netherlands (85), Germany (80) and the United States (76), the representation said.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said on Monday that the country had provided Kiev with ten MiG-29 fighters.
