MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Security of the Russian Black Sea Fleet's main base and anchorages has been enhanced due to the drone threat, according to the Russian military.
"Technical safeguards of the fleet's main base and anchorages have been enhanced, and optical-electronic and radar surveillance posts have been deployed due to the threat of attacks by robotic surface and underwater vehicles," Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.
"Our minesweepers have cleared waters of the Sea of Azov to use ports in new constituent territories of the Russian Federation for various kinds of maritime transportation," he said.
