Ukrainian fuel depot destroyed near Zaporozhye - Russian military

MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported the destruction of a fuel depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye area.

"A fuel depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' hardware has been destroyed near the city of Zaporozhye," ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.

A U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-mortar radar was destroyed near Borovaya in the Kharkov region, he said.

"A Ukrainian Zoopark-1 artillery counter-battery radar system was destroyed near Nikopol in the Dnepropetrovsk region," Konashenkov said.

According to him, tactical aircraft, army aviation and artillery from the Russian contingent hit 72 Ukrainian artillery units on firing positions, as well as troops and military hardware in 102 areas over the past day.

Air defense has intercepted three projectiles of HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems and Uragan multiple rocket launchers in the past 24 hours, Konashenkov said.

Twenty-five Ukrainian drones were downed in the Lugansk and Donetsk people's republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, he said.
