St. Petersburg court accepts treason case against Siberia-based scientist Maslov

ST. PETERSBURG. May 12 (Interfax) - The St. Petersburg City Court has registered a criminal case against scientist Anatoly Maslov, who is charged with high treason, the joint press service for St. Petersburg's courts said on Friday.

"The case materials classified as top secret have been delivered to the judge. Custody has been ordered for Maslov as a measure of restraint," the joint press service said in a statement.

As reported previously, Anatoly Maslov, a senior researcher at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was detained in early July 2022 on suspicion of high treason.
