London to confirm transfer of hundreds of missiles, drones to Kiev on Monday

LONDON. May 15 (Interfax) - United Kingdom Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will announce plans to provide Ukraine with air defense systems and unmanned aerial vehicles later on Monday, a statement published on the UK government website said.

"Today the Prime Minister will confirm the further UK provision of hundreds of air defense missiles and further unmanned aerial systems including hundreds of new long-range attack drones with a range of over 200 km," said a statement published ahead of Sunak's meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in London.

The military assistance package will be delivered to Ukraine within the next few months, it said.

Sunak and Zelensky are meeting at Chequers, the official country residence of the UK prime minister, on Monday.

As reported earlier in May, London is sending Storm Shadow low-observable long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine.
