Reservists called up for training won't be sent to special military operation zone - Duma's Kartapolov

MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - Russian citizens called up for military training from the reserve in 2023 will not be sent to the special military operation zone, State Duma Defense Committee head Andrei Kartapolov said.

"Of course, they won't end up in the special military operation zone, these are things not related to each other, planned [training camps] are arranged annually," Kartapolov said in reply to a question from Interfax on Tuesday.

The people called up for such training "will show up, train for the set time, and return to their families and workplaces," he said.
