Russia's Uralvagonzavod to display advanced military hardware at exhibition in Belarus

YEKATERINBURG. May 16 (Interfax) - Uralvagonzavod (UVZ, part of Rostec) will participate in the MILEX 2023 international exhibition of weapons and military hardware, due to take place in Minsk from May 17 to May 20, the UVZ press service said.

The Nizhny Tagil based company will display advanced samples of military hardware as well as possible modifications of fighting and engineer vehicles at the exhibition, the press service said.

UVZ will showcase an upgraded T-72 tank, various modifications of which are operated by the armies of 50 countries, according to the company.

"This tank is an excellent example of a structural upgrade producing an advanced combat unit with enhanced capabilities. The T-72 comprehensive modernization plan included steps to increase the tank's firepower, protection, mobility and command controllability," it said.

The upgraded T-90MS tank with considerably enhanced fighting and riding properties will be on display as well. It features a high-power engine, a third-generation modular dynamic protection system, a modernized cannon, as well as state-of-the-art communication systems and other upgrades.

UVZ will also present T-90-based hardware, including a tank support fighting vehicle and an IMR-3M obstacle clearance vehicle.

Uralvagonzavod is a multisector engineering company, which manufactures about 100 types of products, including military hardware, road construction equipment, specialized railroad cars, and rail tank cars.
