Fire breaks out after Ukraine strikes grain elevator, storage facilities in Zaporozhye region's Berestovoye

ROSTOV-ON-DON. May 16 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the village of Berestovoye, in the southern Zaporozhye region, with missiles on Tuesday, and a fire broke out after they hit the grain elevator, a representative of the region's emergency services told reporters.

"The premises of the grain elevator and storage facilities were hit. The strike resulted in a fire, and the windows in nearby houses were broken. Residents of nearby houses have been temporarily evacuated due to the threat of the fire spreading," the representative said.

According to initial information, there are no casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene.

Berestovoye is situated in the Berdyansk district and has a population of about 3,000.
