MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Seventeen Russian companies will present about 700 weapons and special hardware units at the MILEX 2023 international arms exhibition in Minsk.
"Russian entities will put their products on display at an area of 453 square meters. These include Rosoboronexport, Almaz-Antey, Tekhnodinamika, Uralvagonzavod, High Precision Systems, UAC, Shvabe, OPK and others. In all, the Russian exposition will feature about 700 military products," the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) said.
According to Rosoboronexport, 17 Russian manufacturers, including large holdings of Rostec, will showcase their products at the exhibition.
There will be 112 full-sized samples, among them the KUB-E kamikaze drone, the aerial training target of the Adjutant system, the upgraded Fara-VR man-portable surveillance radar, various types of small arms, tank, artillery and mortar shells, and precision-guided munitions, the FSMTC said.
Modern aircraft, air defense systems and ground forces hardware will be demonstrated as models, mockups and other kinds of advertising materials, it said.
The Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A military transport plane, the Sukhoi Su-35 multirole super-maneuverable fighter jet, the Mil Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopter, the Mil Mi-35M transport combat helicopter, and upgraded Mil Mi-28NE and Kamov Ka-52 combat helicopters will be displayed.
Almaz-Antey will showcase its air defense systems, including the Viking, Tor-M2KM and Pantsir-S1.
The ground forces weapons will be represented by the T-90MS tank, the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier, the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower, the Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system, as well as Typhoon-K, K-53949 and Typhoon-VDV armored vehicles, and the Linza armored evacuation vehicle.
"Rostec will premiere the newest MRO-A hand-held rocket-assisted flamethrower with thermobaric ammunition at the MILEX 2023 international exhibition in Minsk, the company's press service said.
In all, Rostec will present over 150 products, including the BT-3F armored personnel carriers and the Sprut-SDM1 light amphibious tank, at the exhibition in Minsk, it said.
New firearms "and the most advanced and effective equipment for law enforcement agencies and special units" will also be shown at the exhibition, according to Rosoboronexport.
"A light electroshock shield with additional anti-inflammatory protection, as well as a barrelless pistol with various types of ammunition - traumatic, tear gas and others - will provide individual protection for law enforcement officers at close range. Non-lethal weapons are indispensable for security and law enforcement personnel. The exhibition will showcase electroshock devices with wide-ranging ergonomic capabilities, in various form factors, including those with remote exposure and metal detector functions," it said.
Russia "is observing the highest level of cooperation between our countries, mutual trust, and an unprecedented scale of industrial cooperation in the joint design and manufacturing of modern products," Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev said in a statement.
MILEX 2023 will be held on May 17-20.
