Aspiration to strengthen Russian-Kazakh alliance reaffirmed in Putin-Tokayev call - Kremlin

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has cordially wished his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev a happy 70th birthday in a phone call, the Kremlin press service said.

"The mutual aspiration to further strengthen Russian-Kazakh allied relations and broaden mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas was reaffirmed," the press service said.

Earlier, Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to Tokayev.
