MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Russia and Iran maintain productive and mutually beneficial relations based on an awareness of each other's interests, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Our successful interaction in such a major project reflects the high level and productive and mutually beneficial nature of Russian-Iranian relations," Putin said at a signing ceremony for a Russian-Iranian intergovernmental agreement on jointly financing the design, construction and delivery of goods and services for the Rasht-Astara railroad.
Both countries prioritize the development of their bilateral relations, which are developing based on the principles of neighborliness, respect, and mutual awareness of interests," Putin said.
