TEHRAN/MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed hope of further contacts with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi via both online and in-person formats.
As he spoke at a ceremony for signing an agreement on jointly financing the design, construction, and delivery of goods and services for the Rasht-Astara railroad, Putin described the project as an event significant for the region, global transport infrastructure, and Russia and Iran.
"Thank you for supporting it. I am very glad to see you, and hope that our contacts will continue in both online and in-person formats. My best wishes, until our next meeting," Putin said.
Putin and Raisi took part in the signing ceremony online.
