Wait for Russia's decision on grain deal before making forecasts - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Making any hypothetical assumptions while speculating on the future of the Black Sea Grain Initiative is inappropriate, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

Asked by journalists on Wednesday to comment on Russia's possible steps if the grain deal fails, Peskov said, "I don't think any hypothetical speculation is appropriate here."

"You know that the decision has not been stated yet. It simply makes sense to wait for it to be announced," he said.

The grain deal expires on May 18.
