DPR head reports one civilian dead, nine injured in Ukrainian attack

ROSTOV-ON-DON. May 17 (Interfax) - One civilian has been killed and nine suffered injuries in Ukrainian attacks on the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on Wednesday morning, acting DPR head Denis Pushilin said.

"The enemy has been heavily shelling towns in the republic since the early morning. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties - one person was killed and four civilians suffered injuries at a bus stop in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk. The enemy fired rocket artillery (Grad multiple rocket launchers) at residential areas of Yasinovataya. Currently, we are aware of five civilian casualties," Pushilin's press service quoted him as saying.

"The injured individuals were rushed to hospitals and provided with medical assistance," he said.

The attacks "damaged five residential buildings and a number of infrastructure elements," Pushilin said.
