Russian assault units fighting for control of western Artyomovsk - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) - Russian assault units are fighting for control over blocks in the western part of the city of Artyomovsk (Bakhmut), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

"In the Donetsk sector, assault units continued to fight for control over the western blocks of the city of Artyomovsk," Konashenkov said.

"Units from the southern group of forces are pinning down the enemy on the flanks of the assault units," he said.
