Ukrainian attacks cut power supply to 2 settlements in Russia's Belgorod region - governor

BELGOROD. May 22 (Interfax) - Ukrainian attacks have cut power supply in two communities in Russia's Belgorod region, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"A community in the Volokonovka district has come under attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There are no casualties. A power transmission line was hit, causing a partial power outage in the villages of Tishanka and Shakhovka," the governor said on Telegram on Sunday.

Electricians will start the repairs shortly, he said.

Gladkov said earlier on Sunday that Tishanka and Novaya Tavolzhanka were shelled from Ukraine but there were no casualties.

The yellow (high) level of terrorist alert has been declared in the Belgorod region. A state of emergency is in effect in 15 settlements along the border.
