Ukraine attacks several villages, Graivoron in Russia's Belgorod region, no casualties - governor

BELGOROD. May 22 (Interfax) - Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of Russia's Belgorod region, has reported a massive attack on the Graivoron urban district on Monday.

"The Graivoron urban district has been under attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 9 a.m. this morning. Civilian casualties have been avoided. Our air defense worked," Gladkov said on Telegram. He also reported attacked on the villages of Kozinka, Gora-Podol and Zamostye.

Border territories of the Belgorod region have been sporadically attacked from Ukraine since February 24, 2022. The region has declared a yellow (high) level of terrorist alert, and a state of emergency is in effect in 15 border settlements.
