Russia's arms export portfolio remains at $50 bln-$55 bln - FSMTC head

MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Russia's arms export portfolio remains at $50 billion to $55 billion, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev said.

"Currently, our country cooperates with over 100 states, with the export order portfolio averaging $50 billion to $55 billion in the past few years," Shugayev told reporters.

According to him, Russia's military-technical cooperation is based on the principles of non-interference in internal affairs of other countries, commitment to international laws and obligations, and avoidance of threats, blackmail, coercion, use of force or any restrictions.

"All of the above allows us to develop cooperation not only with countries that share the outlook and foreign policy of the Russian Federation, but also with countries under strong Western influence," Shugayev said.
